I hope this helps those of you who have considered donating to the museum.† We are very well represented up to 1966.† After that we have a lot of work to do, and Iím sure that we can count on you guys to help out. There is a large exhibit on the second floor that is approximately 40% K-9 history. Iím sure you would be very proud to be a part of the USAF Security Police K-9 History.
This is a great opportunity for us, but now we have to run with the ball. I would strongly suggest that if you are planning on donating anything, that you e-mail Ms. Stevens and inform her of your intent to donate.
You will need to identify the objects, as required, so that it can be used in the proper theater and era.If you donate any photographs, please identify them with names, locations, dates, military function, exercise, or mission, etc.† Write in pencil or have the photos numbered with the identifications on a separate sheet of paper.† All items that are donated need to be accompanied by a release form that gives detailed information about each item and credit due to the donator.† You can get that form (AF Form 3571) easily by e-mailing the VDHA Webmaster, Dave Broeker, at email@example.com.
